Edward R. Dunn

Edward R. Dunn, 77, of Shapliegh died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 11, 2008.Edward was born in Somerville, MA on April 17, 1931 to Edward R. and Helen (O'Halloran) Dunn, Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and had retired from the New England Telephone Company. He had also been a member of the Tewksbury Gun Club in Tewksbury, MA.Mr. Dunn was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Arthur Dunn.Surviving are his beloved wife, Patricia Gallant Merrill Dunn of Shapleigh; a sister, Helen Dunn McCain of Somerville, MA; a stepson Bert Merrill of Ohio; two grandchildren, Bert Merrill of Rhode Island and Lynn Merrill Harrington of Lynn, MA; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.A celebration of life for Mr. Dunn will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 27th at the Shapleigh First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Highland Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are through Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home in Sanford.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the Shapleigh First Baptist Church, P.O.
