South Portland-Edward Ed J. Bolduc, 48, passed away unexpectedly January 5, 2015, at his home. Ed was born in Portland, Maine on February 15, 1966, and lived his entire life in South Portland. He was the youngest of four children born to Philip and Catherine (Macomber) Bolduc. He was educated in South Portland and graduated from South Portland High School Class of 1984. Ed worked at L.L. Bean as a Materials Handler for 23 years and took great pride in his work and in working for a Maine company. He was a devoted husband to Carol (Kelsey) Bolduc whom he married on May 17, 2008, after a thirteen-year courtship. In the last two years Ed nursed Carol back to health after her cancer diagnosis his smile and humor never wavering. Ed was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed trips to Bangor with his wife especially at Thanksgiving to spend time with Carols large family. His quick wit and humorous nature lead to labels such as life of the party and favorite uncle. He always enjoyed spending time with family and most of all enjoyed the little ones. Ed leaves behind his loving wife, Carol; a brother, Mitch Bolduc of South Portland; sisters Karen Greenlaw and her husband, Rick, of South Portland and Tracey Nelson and her husband, George of Huntersville, North Carolina; nieces Megan Regis and family and Amanda Nelson; nephews Kyle Greenlaw and family and Adam Nelson; along with his wifes family whom he loved as his own and many close friends including Steve May Day Mayberry. He also leaves behind his two cats, Maria and Mr. Bigs. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 9, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A service will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Philip Shearman officiating. Reception plans to be announced. Burial will be private.
