Edna Dexter

Edna May (Carey) Dexter, 70, of Sanford, passed away on November 14, 2014, after a brief illness, with her family by her side.Edna was born on November 16, 1943 to William H. and Carrie E. (Goodale) Carey in Portland, Maine. She attended Portland schools. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo, watching television, and spending time with her family. Edna was predeceased by two brothers; Freddy Carey of Lewiston and Edward Carey of Portland Maine, two sisters; Alice Wotton of Westbrook and Beverly Morin of Portland. She is survived by one sister; Grace Page of Farmington, New Hampshire, two brothers; Wallace Carey and his wife of Westbrook, and Richard Carey and his wife of Farmington, New Hampshire. Two daughters; Paula Dexter of Sanford, and Ruth Gabert and her husband of Sanford, a granddaughter, Sarah Gabert also of Sanford and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, from 2:00P.M. - 4:00 P.M at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main St., in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service Sanford, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at tab at left.
