I never had the pleasure of meeting Dwight. But I’ve heard a lot of stories and spent time with his family recently. What a bunch of wonderful people. He sure did leave a great legacy behind condolences from Arizona. You are all in my prayers in my heart Debbie.
Peace to everyone.
I loved riding in his Sunoco trucks heading to Calais, and stopping to buy bunny skins. Thank you Uncle Dwight for the memories.
Going to very much miss you my good friend of so many years.
From the day I met him, he said call me dad. One of the best people, will be deeply missed.
Chapman St. was an awesome side street to grow up on. And Dwight one on the main reasons. He taught me how to put break pads, belts, alternators. etc. on my car as a teenager with limited funds.
My best memories were Friday nights in 76 when I would wash and wax my car. I would soon revel in getting a 12 pack from Troiano’s so Dwight, Clayton & Leo could inspect my work while sitting on the wall at 13 Chapman St nursing a cold beer. Then Sunday breakfast at Lum’s where they taught me life’s lessons.
Dwight was always kind, funny and extremely smart about life & auto repairs. To Tiny, Jane and Jimmy, I am so sorry Dwight has moved on to his next chapter. Hopefully God came and let him drive the Blue & White Chevy pick-up with cab lights for the journey. My favorite vehicle he owned. Sincerely, Joel Rogers.
Dwight had such a great sense of humor. He was a joy to take care of these past couple of years. We miss him at the Barron Center.
