Douglas Lee Healey Martel

Douglas Lee Healey, 31, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday June 9, 2009. He was born in Sanford on May 30, 1978, a son of Elizabeth (Boston) and Kevin Healey. Doug graduated from Lee Academy in 1996. He loved to write poetry, music, the ocean and spending time with his friends and family.The most important people in his life were his beautiful daughter,Desire Rose,his grandmother, Laura Boston and grandfather, the late Arthur Boston, grandparents, Dick and Sylvia Healey,brothers, Zachary and Jacob Healey. He will also be missed by his uncles, Rick, Joel, Brendan and his wife, Lois, aunts, Sharon, Susan, Jennifer and Danielle, cousins, Shanaseth, Zalana, Shaleen, Aaron, Kasy and Nick, and many close friends, Rob and Eric Moores, Jenny Burrill, Michelle and Angie Nolan and many more. He was also predeceased by one uncle. Ronald Boston.A gathering of family and friends will take place to celebrate his life on Saturday, June 20 at 3pm at 48 Terry Drive, Sanford. Please feel comfortable to dress casually.
