Dorothy M. Clancy

Dorothy M. Clancy, 86, of Sanford, died on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Dorothy was born on December 20, 1928 in Lynn, Massachusetts to Joseph and Theresa (Tavanese) Capobianco, one of 11 children. She loved music, especially opera and she enjoyed singing. Dorothy devoted her life to caring for and raising her family. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, by her husband John Clancy and by 10 siblings, Elizabeth, James, Victor, Fred, John, Mary, Phyllis, Rose, Frances and Catherine.Surviving are two children, Joanne Myott and her husband Robert of Sanford and Thomas Clancy of Sanford; two grandchildren, Robert Myott, Jr. of Sanford and Angela Myott and her husband Shawn Lannigan of Sanford and two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Damian.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 3rd at St Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church located on Payne Street in Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to St Therse of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Avenue, Sanford, Maine 04073.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
