Dorothy E. Boisclair
Dorothy E. Boisclair, 94, of Sanford, died on May 25, 2017 at the Lodges Care Center in Springvale.She was born on January 13, 1923 to Rene and Julia (Morissette) Breault in Westbrook where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Westbrook High School in 1941. Dorothy worked at S.D. Warren in Westbrook prior to her marriage to Aldege J. Boisclair on July 12, 1947. She worked in the cost department at Goodall Sanford Textile Mills after moving to Sanford. As her children got older, she worked at Aleta Dress Shop until its closing.She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, N.A.R.F.E. and the Mousam Lake Association.Dorothy was a wonderful homemaker and devoted her time to the loving care of her family. In her spare time she did sewing, crocheting, crafting, and quilting.The camp at Mousam Lake was where she enjoyed many gatherings of family and friends. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her great grand children. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, and three sisters, Sylvia Secord, Pearl Binette and Laurette Knight.Survivors include a son, Philip D. Boisclair and his wife Linda, of Sanford, three daughters, Doris E. Sylvanus and her husband Terence of Sanford, Lorraine M. Boucher and her husband Guy, of Wells, and Denise Cunningham and her husband Paul of Sanford, eight grandsons, James, Matthew, Luke, and Michael Sylvanus, David Boisclair, Adam and Andrew Boucher, and Marc Cunningham, 5 great grandchildren, a sister Georgette McKinley, a brother, Donald Breault and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to express their appreciation to the Lodges Care Center, and to Compassus Hospice Care, especially, Cheryl and Raleigh, for the extraordinary care of their mother.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 9:00 A.M. at St. Therse of Liseiux Parish Holy Family Church on North Avenue, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. followed by a burial at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.
