Jay-Dorine G. Ouellette, 93, of Franklin Road died on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Androscoggin Hospice House with her loving family by her side. Dorine was born in Waterville, Maine on September 16, 1928, the daughter of the late William C. and Racheal (Duguay) Holmes. She attended St. Francis Parochial School and at the age of 9 entered Mount Merici School in the 4th grade. She loved her time at Mount Merici and graduated from there in the class of 1946. She continued her education and graduated from Thomas Business School in 1947. On September 13, 1952 she married Andre V. Ouellette at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Waterville. Andre and Dorine moved to Livermore Falls/Jay where they lived and raised their family. Dorine was a longtime communicant of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Jay where she was also active with the Daughters of Isabella. She was a member and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Frank L. Mitchell Post #3335, Jay. She was very proud of her French heritage and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and crocheting. She loved to cook and always enjoyed hosting large family gatherings at her home for family and friends. She was the true epitome of what a lady should be- gracious, kind and always willing to help others whenever she could. Dorine was predeceased by her husband, Andre V. Ouellette in 2015. She is survived by a daughter, Karen and her husband, Dr. Michael Nawfel of Waterville; three sons, Dean and his wife, Lynn Ouellette of Jay, Stephen Ouellette of Rockwood, William L. Ouellette of Brunswick; six grandchildren, Rebecca Ouellette of Livermore Falls, Jeffrey Ouellette Phd. and his wife Michelle of CA, Andre Ouellette of Brunswick, Renee and her husband, Jon Fortier of China Village, Lauren Nawfel of NH, and Jena Nawfel of MA; four great grandchildren, Coraline Ames of Livermore Falls, Landen Ouellette of CA and Nolan and Dalton Fortier of China Village. At the family’s request, all services will be private. Dorine will be interred with her husband Andre at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine.
