Resided in:
Waterboro, Maine
Donald “Poolie” S. Poole Jr., 67 of Waterboro passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at home.
He was predeceased by his parents, Donald S. Poole Sr., Bertha Poole, and his brother Wayne Poole.
Poolie loved deer hunting, always waiting for the "Big One". He enjoyed hunting with his little brother Gary, his nephew "Pudly", his brother-in-law Rod Graffam, Roddy Woodworth, Tim Graffam and many other friends.
He loved playing softball, horseshoes, washer toss and going to yard sales. Poolie also love playing his “Golden Oldies “on the radio when driving around in his Chevy truck. Poolie also enjoyed watching reruns of Mash, Andy Griffith Show and old Westerns on TV.
He loved being surrounded by family at gatherings for the holidays. He always made sure there was a dish made for his three dogs, Maxine, JJ, and Bella which he loved very much.
Poolie worked for several years at Central Tire in Sanford and Bakers Automotive in Waterboro as a mechanic and a good one at that.
He has left behind his wife of 48 years Donita Poole whom he loved very much. He also leaves behind his four beautiful daughters that he loved and cherished dearly: Misty Poole of Old Orchard, Crystal Poole Ayers of Buxton, Jodi Poole Warren of Springvale and Donna Poole of Waterboro. He has 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. (It was always a happy time when they came by). He leaves behind 3 brothers Lester, Carl, and Gary and 4 sisters, Dolly, Sandra, Cathy and Karen.
Poolie was a quiet, strong and kind man to all. There will be an emptiness in the hearts of his whole family. He will be missed and well-remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting the man with a smile on his face and ready to lend a helping hand.
God now has another "Angel" to watch over us.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service at 12:00 at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.

Uncle Poolie, you were always quiet, but quick with a smile. I have great memories of card games at Uncle Tony and Aunt Dolly’s house, where you would enjoy time with family. I love know you are in heaven with my Dad and your other brothers, having one heck of a time reminiscing and driving Aunt Bertha and Grammy Graffam crazy! Be at peace. Love you ❤️
