It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Don, 79, on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Don passed peacefully at his home in Lebanon, Maine surrounded by the love of his family after a valiant battle with Myasthenia Gravis and Parkinson's disease. Don was born in Shapleigh, Maine to the late Roger and Kathleen Meader and raised in Lebanon, Maine. After graduating from Sanford High School Don worked various jobs within the Sanford area and later worked for General Electric Company in Somersworth for 29 years before retiring.Don was a dedicated husband and devoted father who treasured his wife Jane of 60 years, and his sons Jim, Jon and Mark embracing every moment with them. He especially loved his role of Grampa.Don had a witty personality and always made people around him laugh. He loved to work on cars, hunt and fish with his boys and grandchildren, yard sale with his wife and go up to camp where many cherished memories were made with family and good friends. Anyone who knew Don also knew that above all Don loved and lived to serve the Lord. His passion to serve and share the word of God remained right up to the day his Savior finally called him home.He is survived by his loving wife Jane, beloved sons Jim and wife Darlene, Jon and wife Sherry and son Mark and his favorite cat Hawkeye. Dear grandchildren Beth and husband Tom, Matthew and wife Samantha, Douglas, Stephen, Nickolas, Ashley and Emily and his four precious great granddaughters Jillian, Isabella, Juliana and Alison. In addition to three brothers, Timothy and wife Chloe, Philip, Paul and wife Linda and a sister Bonnie and husband Danny.
