Dolores J. Everett, 78, of Sanford, died on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.She was born in Sanford on September 10, 1939 to Alphonse and Elizabeth (Malenfant) Houle where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from St. Ignatius High School. During her working life she was a medical secretary. Dolores was a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.She kept herself busy with several groups and activities. She was a hospice volunteer, a member of the Red Hat Society, Lions Club, and her prayer group, The Little House of Prayer, which she very much enjoyed.She absolutely loved taking photos, and was known for always having her camera handy. She also enjoyed playing cards, her piano (which she taught herself to play) and her kitty Sharlie.Dolores was a kind and loving woman, who never had anything negative to say about others, and instead looked to find the good in them. She will be dearly missed.She is predeceased by her husband of 17 years John Everett who passed away in 2004, her son Michael Brunelle, her step daughter Bronwen Sprung, siblings, Yvette Tousignant, Gertrude Desjardins, Roger Houle, Lionel Houle and two infant siblings Mary Jane and Robert Houle. Survivors include a daughter Diane Brunelle Mulligan and her husband Matthew of South Portland, two sons, Kevin Brunelle and his wife Netrista of Rochester, NH, and Gary Brunelle, of Sanford, former husband Richard Brunelle, a step daughter, Casey Westling, two sisters, Doris Lehoux of Sanford and Aline Gilman and her husband Francis of Rochester, three granddaughters, Felicia Cronk of Sanford, Bridget Martin and her husband Samuel and Kelly Mulligan of South Portland, a grandson Driss Elhamraoui of Rochester, step grandchildren, Frank Gritzmacher, Hannah Eroh, Emily Mercik, Rachel Westling, Maggie Powell, Clara Westling, Charlotte Doherty, Quinn Westling, Lydia Westling, Louisa Westling, Ethan Westling, Joanna Westling, a great grandson, Allan Martin, as well as many step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Monday, October 2, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St. Sanford.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 3, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish Holy Family Church, 66 North Ave. Sanford.
