Dolly R. Egan, 33, of Sanford, died at home on Friday, October 8, 2010. She was born in Sanford, January 2, 1976, daughter of Kathleen Egan Hill. Dolly attended Sanford Schools as well as Husson College, studying broadcasting.Dolly was a passionate equestrian. She participated in several dressage shows, winning first place ribbons. An accomplishment she was very proud of. She loved riding her favorite horse, Onyx during Equest Therapy. She had love for many other animals. She loved her dog Dylyn and her cats Montana and Journey.As a woman with a gentle spirit and kind heart, she also enjoyed the Native American culture. She attended pow-wows where she danced, laughed and made sacred memories. Dolly tried to teach all of us to learn to forgive others.Dolly loved crafting and photography. She lived a simple life, not asking for much. She treasured the pleasure of company, reading a book or watching a good movie. She also loved to DJ on the radio. Her favorite quote was "Tall mountains may be harder to climb, but the view from the top is always worth it. Go for the tall ones" by V.C. Andrews.Dolly is survived by her mother and a brother David Egan and his wife Tammy of Springvale, two sisters, Jody Clements and her husband, William of Limerick, and Michelle Bories of Manchester, NH, three nephews and five nieces.A Memorial Service will be held in the spring.Arrangements are under the direction of Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, Springvale.To leave a note of condolence for the family, visit is www.blackfuneralhomes.com.
