Deb you will be truly missed by all your family and friends, also the birds, racoons, foxes chipmucks, squirrels, cats, dogs, ect ect etc and me.

Debora “Debbie Dew” Sturtevant, 65, passed gently at home and on her own terms after a prolonged illness. Deb was a light in our lives that will be missed forever. Her compassion, kindness and love for people were a driving force for her life. Deb lived a life of service, to her community and to her family. Whether it was serving up drinks at many of Sanford’s private clubs (including the American legion where she was an auxiliary member) You could also find her Behind the pines at Fi Woods handing out smiles and making lifelong friends. When she retired from her entertainment career she worked for a time at the Goodwill in Sanford, then she served the elderly and her special needs (kiddos) as she called them, driving for community action. She also provided home care through Abundant blessings where she received numerous awards for going above and beyond with her care of her clients. But the title she was most proud of carrying was Nana. She touched so many lives with her care taking nature, quick wit, and her unapparelled life advice. Sometimes just with a well-timed raspberry hot chocolate. She never left you feeling alone.
She is predeceased by her son Jeremy Chadwick, her mother Joanne Bean, and her father Richard Mcalister. She leaves behind her daughter Haley Hansler of Portsmouth NH. Her significant other Mark Hope of Acton Maine. Her grandsons, Sage and Nico Hansler, and her granddaughters, London Chadwick, and Samantha Woodward. Her sisters, Nichole Snow of Center Ossipee NH, Kim Davis of Cocoa Beach FL, and ShariLee Mcalister of Cocoa Beach FL. Her brothers, Dana Mcalister of Ossipee NH and Richard Mcalister Jr of Sanford ME and Jimmy Mcalister of New Gloster, ME. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews including Michealla Snow of Fayetteville, NC, Adriana Snow of Center Ossipee NH, Ashley Cardenas of Monmouth ME, Katie Jansa of Winthrop ME, Marc Brisard of Rochester NH, Jamie Soper of Auburn ME, Jessie Soper of Ossipee NH, Dax Santana of Cocoa Beach FL, Brooke Davis of Cocoa Beach FL.
Her celebration of life will be held Sunday April 27th at The American Legion 656 Main St. Sanford, ME from 3-7 pm. All are welcome to celebrate Deb’s Life, we ask that no one wear black as this is a celebration of her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grammy Rose Dog rescue and Sanctuary in Acton Maine.
