Dean A. DeVoe, 57, of Sanford, died on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after suffering cardiac arrest on Thursday morning.Dean was born on January 24, 1962 in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools. On May 13, 2006, Dean marriedJamie, the love of his life, and from that day forward his life was changed forever. They had a love that got them through the last 13 years and he had everything he ever wanted....his perfect mini-me son Garrett and his princess Sophia. His life was full and complete. Garrett will always remember that his daddy was his best friend and the whole world to him and Sophia will always remember that her daddy was always there for her whenever she needed him.Dean was a "bigger than life" kind of guy who lived for his family and friends. He was a very passionate man with a large heart. Only those who truly knew him got to see the kind and loving man that he truly was. Dean will leave a mark that will be noticed by his absence. His strength and drive to be the best husband, father, son and friends will always be remembered.Dean was predeceased by his two brothers, Gary DeVoe, Jr. and Brian Boudreau and by a niece, Shauna Lapierre.Surviving are his wife, Jamie DeVoe of Sanford; two children, Garrett and Sophia DeVoe of Sanford; his parents, Sylvia and Raymond Boudreau of Alfred; his father, Gary DeVoe, Sr. of Gorham; his sister, Wendy Lapierre and her husband Rick of Wells; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Jeanne Cote of Sanford; two sisters-in-law Tracy Abbott and her husband Mike of Waterboro and Jackie Chevalier and her husband Gilberto of Newfield; his nieces Bry-Anna, Heather, Megan, Jazmine and Bella; his nephews Ethan and Raymond and many others who called him Uncle Dean.Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
