David G. Williams, 61, of Waterboro, passed away on Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough. He was born in Sanford on September 21, 1951 a son of the late Gordon and Mildred Williams. He attended local Sanford schools.For many years he owned and operated Libbey's restaurant in Westbrook and then managed Donnelly's restaurant. He worked for Cyro Industries for 20 years and when he retired he had been working for Deer Pond Fuel.He was a member of the Lafayette Social Club. He had formerly served on the Waterboro Finance Committee.David loved fishing and giving rides on his pontoon boat "Olde Blister. He was very personable and had a special way with people. He had a way of making people laugh. He was knowledgeable in all fields of conversation and was articulate. He was always the first one to give a helping hand.The last thing on his bucket list was taking Brenda to the Grand Canyon this past October.David is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Williams of Waterboro, daughter, Katherine Williams of Scarborough, Tavis Williams of Westbrook, grandsons, Robert Jipson, David Jipson, Noah Williams, one brother, Lee and two sisters, Judy and Joyce.Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 6PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
