Portland - David Ransaw, 69, died on September 11, 2023 after a brief illness.
David was born in Akron, OH, the son of the late Harold C. and Elnora J. Ransaw. He grew up in Ohio, where he attended local schools and graduated from Doylestown High School in the class of 1972. After high school he attended Hocking College where he received his Associate of Science Degree in Recreation and Wildlife Management. He then attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio from 1979 to 1983.
One of David's greatest passions was photography.
David is survived by his sister, Patricia Pond (Kenneth) of OH.

Dave, I thought of you today when I saw a man who looked a lot like you. I looked you up and am so sad to hear of your passing. I hope you’re on endless camping and photography excursions. I imagine you still only wear clothes that were free from ULine and I respect that. You were cranky as hell but damn were you loved.
