Mr. David A. Noone, 72, of South Portland, passedaway Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Maine MedicalCenter. Born in Rochester, NH, on November 3, 1942, David was the son of the late John Noone and Myrtle (Plumer) Perkins. He married Linda Intrieri on October 15, 1966. David was a proud individual with immeasurable perseverance. At the young age of 20, David suffered a stroke. This debilitating and limiting misfortune never held David down. His determination and strong will allowed him to become a stronger individual and appreciate the simple joys of life. David was an adventurous and fun loving person who was known for his considerate, kind and generous nature. David owned and operated No Preference Towing for many years prior to his employment with Everett Dobson and Sons until his retirement in 2002. He loved boating, was famous for his stuffed bread and had many friends who will miss him dearly. David is predeceased by his brother, Jack Noone and sister, Carol Coston. In addition to his wife of 48 years, David is survived by his beloved son, Billy Noone of South Portland; siblings, Beatrice Condon of Portland, Priscilla Cayer of PA, and Larry Noone and wife Vyara of Alfred. Also survived by his grandsons, Jacob A. Noone and Dylan J. Bresette. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 from 4-6PM at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A Funeral Service will follow at 6PM in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Those desiring may share a memory or an online condolence with the family at www.ctcrawford.com.   1. I didn’t know Dave very well. But I do know he welcomed me into his home on numerous occasions and always had a big smile on his face. I really admired that through the pain and sickness, he could still smile. That’s what I’ll always remember him by. I send my condolences to all of his family and friends. You’ll meet again one day. But for now, he’ll be looking down at us all with a big smile on his face.

  3. I am so sorry that Dave is gone from us. He and I rented down at Long Creek Terrace when he had No Preference Towing and I rented the small building for my business Jayar Signs. I’ve seen him through the years and he always had a smile and a friendly hello. Pat and I will miss him. He was a great guy.

  7. You know, Uncle Dave was always so content with everything. It was nice to see him at camp and on holidays, and he was always so happy when I came to talk to him. I’m really gonna miss him, I may not have seen him that often but it was always nice to just sit and talk to him, he was actually really funny once you got him going. I’m gonna miss you big guy, we all will. Love ya…

Your gracious spirit and positive attitude (although I sometimes thought that you gave up on the Sox too early in the season!) was always appreciated and is something that I will never forget. You were not only my brother-in-law but our friend as well.We shared a love of country music, good food and numerous and wonderful times with our family.Your never ending support of the” Rusty Scupper” and ” VFW 832″ will not be forgotten. When my mother was terminally ill you and Linda let the whole family invade your home for 6 months. Not once did you ever say a harsh word or complain, for your kindness I am eternally grateful. You made us laugh and smile. Rest in peace Dave. You will be missed. One day we will meet again.
