David’s step-sister Morgan returning home, her husband sleeping on the couch. 13 year old David had just been dropped off to swim, and found 3 year old Zack on the floor of the deep end of the pool.. pulled him up, and knew what to do. David saved Zach from drowning.
On one of my visits, David showed me the cookbook he wrote. I knew David loved to cook and create his own recipes. We talked often about his cooking. David loved to cook for his best friend next door, who passed December.
Watching, 12/22/1975, original episode of the “All in the Family” Giving birth, I felt my 1st labor contraction. 12/23/75.. stayed in bed, contractions 30 min apart. 12/24/1975 4am, contraction 5 min apart hard. Mom called Dr. and convinced everyone it’s a kidney infection being 2 months early for labor. Mom drove an extra 14 miles to switch truck for car to drive me 25 miles to Nevada Hospital to wait 2 extra hours because kidney infection wasn’t a real emergency. In the examination room, the doctor looked at Mom and said, “Her kidney infection will be born today.” Hours later at 7:30pm, my beautiful David Christopher was born. 4lbs 12oz. 17 inches long.
They placed David in my arms for the 1st time. The most beautiful baby on earth. 2 inches of thick jet black hair. A tear shaped birthmark on his chin. A ture gift from heaven.
My sincere condolences to Dave’s family and loved ones.
I met Dave through My twin brother Marc who lived one door down from Dave on Stevens Ave Shalom house.
Dave worried about Marc and would often stop by to say hi.
Marc cared a great deal about Dave and always had kind words to say about him.
Sadly, Marc passed February 2, 2023. Dave was shy, but managed to come to the small gathering for Marc that we hosted in the Community room on Steven’s Ave. Dave spoke of Marc and how he was grateful for his friendship.
All of the neighbors on Steven’s Ave cared about Dave and are sad for your loss.
Mary Ledue Paine.
I am one of Dave’s big sisters.
David loved everyone. He cared deeply for his friends and family.
His kind soul.
He loved to call people just to say hi. Anytime he saw his nieces or nephews, he always gave them something special.
David, I’m sorry I wasn’t always there for you when you needed me to be. I will miss our time together especially on your birthday.
Dave LOVED collecting things from comic books to baseball cards.
Although Dave suffered from mental health issues, he never let it get in the way of caring for others.
His loving heart.
My heart goes out to all who knew and loved David.
I light this candle in your memory Dave. I love you and miss you!
One of my favorite memories is the time we went to our cousins’ camp. I can’t remember another time we laughed so much. David laughed so hard he fell out of his canoe.
