Daniel Lizotte

Daniel R. Lizotte, 61, of Sanford died unexpectedly at his home on July 23, 2017.Dan was born on July 11, 1956 to Harvey and Barbara (Cobbett) Lizotte in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools. He worked for many years at Tilcon/Pike Industries before going on to work for CATV Construction in Alfred. Danny had been a member of the Lafayette Social Club, the Springvale Social Club and American Legion Post 219. He loved showing his Belgian draft horses at county and state fairs in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. For the past few years his horses were lovingly kept by his nephew Jeremy Irving and Kathleen Hathaway at their farm in Fryeburg. Danny loved farming, cutting hay for the horses and growing his garden. He especially enjoyed taking annual trips the Topeka Livestock Auction in Topeka, Indiana every March with Lahanah, Pam, Jeremy, Michael and numerous friends for the past 20 years. Surviving are his mother, Barbara Lizotte, his daughter, Lahanah and her husband Tim Labor and granddaughters Aurora and Ivory; his sisters, Pam and her husband Tom Gauthier, Janet Coyne, Darlene and her husband Steven Irving and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, July 28th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
