Born in: Anchorage, Alaska
Resided in: Waterboro, Maine
Daniel “Danny” Taylor 63, of Waterboro, Maine, passed away at home on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Danny was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on October 28, 1961, to Fred and Rose (Taylor) Donahue, and grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts.
He worked for many years as a heavy wrecker tow truck driver—a job he took pride in and was well known for. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge and a member of the American Legion in Arlington, MA. Danny enjoyed giving back, especially through volunteering at the annual Christmas party for seniors.
In recent years, Danny was able to live out his dream of farming. He raised cows, pigs, chickens, goats, and turkeys, and kept a vegetable garden. He also enjoyed helping out at Libby’s Orchard, driving the golf cart and chatting with visitors.
Danny loved riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR, and firing up the BBQ. He had a large circle of friends and was known for being loyal, generous, and always willing to lend a hand.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Helen Taylor.
He is survived by his partner of 14 years, Jennifer Wray of Waterboro; her children, Samantha Emeneau of Massachusetts and John Wray; his siblings, Steven Taylor, Laura Bento, and Paul Taylor, all of Massachusetts; several nieces, a great niece and a great nephew.
He will be missed by many.
So sad to read this. Worked with Dan last two years at Libby’s orchard. He was a pleasure to work with and had some great stories when he was a tow truck driver in Massachusetts. He was proud of his farm and taking care of his animals. He will be missed. My Condolences to your family. Peace be with Dan

Danny was the best, he was like a second father to me and was probably the best person I could’ve had looking after my old boy. He’ll be deeply missed by all.
