Dale W. Mills

Dale Wayne Mills, 81, of Shapleigh passed away peacefully the morning of May 30th, 2020.He was born on September 2, 1938 to Franze B. and Annie (Curtis) Mills in Rockland, ME. He lived in North Haven, ME until the age of 8 when the family moved to Shapleigh where he attended Shapleigh and Sanford Schools.He was employed with Romac Orchards, in Acton for 20 years and also Brown's Boat Yard, in North Haven, from where he retired.Dale married the love of his life on May 29, 1958 and they were married for 62 years and raised 3 children in Shapleigh.He is predeceased by his parents, and 2 infant sons.Surviving are his wife of 62 years Marcia (Mee) Mills, children, Darrell and his wife Nancy, Tonda Goodwin and her husband Keith and Ernest Mills and his wife Sheila, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.At Dale's request, there will be no services.The family would like to thank the staff at Pinnacle/Sanford (Greenwood) and Compassive Hospice Palliative for the compassionate care he received.In lieu of flowers please consider your local animal shelter.
