Scarborough- Cynthia A. Cripps, 58, of Coralburst Lane, died on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with her loving family by her side. Cindy was born in St. Albans, New York on September 15, 1959 the daughter of Gregory and Mary C. (Cram) Payne. She attended schools in Scarborough and graduated from Scarborough High School in the class of 1978. Cindy had a twenty year career working for L.L. Bean. She had a strong affection for cats, enjoyed reading and doing puzzles, and had a great love for spending time at the beach. She will long be remembered for her great sense of humor and sharp wit. She was predeceased by her father, Gregory Payne in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren A. Cripps of MA; her mother, Mary Payne of Scarborough; a sister Deborah Baker of Scarborough; one brother John E. and his wife Jennifer Payne, of CA; several nieces and nephews. At the family's request all services will be private. Burial will be in Black Point Cemetery, Black Point Road, Scarborough.
