West Baldwin - Constance "Connie" Jean (Prince) Fuessel, 80, passed on January 5, 2019, at Brentwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Yarmouth, after a brief struggle with several medical conditions. Connie was born on January 3, 1939, in Portland, the daughter of the late Phillips H. and Muriel C. (Thurston) Prince. Connie grew up in Portland and attended Deering High School. Connie worked at Wendell White Studios for a number of years which she thoroughly enjoyed. In 1977 she began a 20-plus year journey at the City of South Portland as a secretary for the engineering department. In 1979 Connie married Richard Fuessel and treasured 14 years with him until he unexpectedly passed. Connie loved the times at camp located on Sabbathday Lake, New Glouster, for many years with family and friends, especially with her husband Dick. She appreciated time with her family and friends and valued being a grandmother to her granddaughters. Connie was predeceased by her husband, Richard Fuessel. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Ross and wife Mary of West Baldwin; two granddaughters, Courtney and Cassandra Ross both of West Baldwin; a sister, Marcia Amergian and her husband Leon of North Yarmouth. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 11, at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Portland. Words cannot express how shocked and saddened I am to hear of Connies passing.I never got aquainted with any of my Neighbors until,I met Connie we clicked right away-Some of my fondest memories are when we would get together for a ciggy and talk for hours. I missed her dearly when she moved away. MrsF(She got a kick out of this Title I gave her!) was a Friend to remember.The memories I have will live in my heart forever!My deepest condolences to Jeff,Mary,Courtney&Cassie.I am so sorry and Heartbroken.
