Connie L. Guertin

Connie L. Guertin, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Greenwood Center in Sanford.She was born on June 10, 1940 to Wilfred and Florence (Brochu) Bernier in Biddeford where she grew up and attended local schools. In 1958 Connie married Roger (Red) Guertin and moved to Sanford. Together they raised three children.During her working life, she was employed at Tennford Weaving, and Sprague Electric, she also was a cook and waitress in local restaurants.Connie was a devout Catholic and though she was unable to attend, she would watch daily mass on television. She was also a member of the American Legion and the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary. She liked to play bingo and did genealogy for family and friends, she liked to plan family reunions, and enjoyed going out and listening to music. In her recent years, she just wanted to be in the comfort of her home. She was a great mom and grandmother, and will be dearly missed.She is predeceased by her husband, Roger(Red)Guertin who passed away in 1992, and a brother Donald Bernier.Survivors include her sons, Thomas Guertin of Springvale and Gary Guertin and his fiance, Tammy Bickford, of Sanford a daughter, Nancy Mills and her husband Darrell, of Sanford, her grandchildren, Matthew Guertin, Justin Guertin, Brittany Guertin, Mandi Mills, and Jake Mills, great grandchildren, Brody, Jaxon, Eli, Gavyn, Savannah, Ridleigh, Leighton, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.A mass of Christian Burial will held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, 66 North Ave. Sanford with a burial at St. Ignatius Cemetery.To leave a message click tab at left.
