Clotilde Flynn Brennan

Cape Elizabeth - Clotilde Flynn Brennan, 97, passed away with her loving daughters by her side on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at The Cedars in Portland. Born on May 1, 1920 in Argentina, Clotilde was the daughter of the late Juan and Brigida (Carmody) Flynn.
In 1959 she and her daughters moved from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Stamford, Connecticut. She was an executive secretary in the Latin American Division of Xerox Corporation and later in the Corporate Division.
After her retirement, Clotilde volunteered for many years at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, Ct. She was an active member of St. Andrew's Church as a Eucharistic Minister and Curcillo participant. She also visited the sick both in hospitals and nursing homes.
Clotilde loved music and enjoyed going into New York City for opera, ballet, and theater. She also enjoyed playing bridge and a good game of scrabble. She was a wonderful seamstress who produced lovely outfits for her daughters.
In addition to her parents, Clotilde is predeceased by her husband Dionisio, and her eight siblings. She is survived by her daughters Cecilia Baltrusaitis (Victor), and Ines MacLaughlin (Winthrop). Four grandchildren, Jonathan Baltrusaitis (Julie), Melissa Philbrook (Scott), Bridget Warnat (Mark) and Brian MacLaughlin (Whitney). She is also survived by her eleven great-grandchildren; Lucy, Caelen, Luke, Mackenzie, Benjamin, Jacob, Nathaniel, William, Brooke, Samantha and Marcella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September. 21, 2017 at 11am at St. Bartholomew Church, 8 Two Lights Road, Cape Elizabeth. Private interment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery, Broadway, South Portland.
