Clinton W. Lagerberg

November 7, 1938 ~ March 16, 2026

Born in: Keene , New Hampshire
Resided in: Lebanon, Maine

Clinton W. Lagerberg, 87, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 16, 2026.

He was born on November 7, 1938, in Keene, New Hampshire, the son of Ralph and Lena (Labounty) Lagerberg, and was one of eight children (all boys). Clinton grew up in Keene and attended local schools but left at a young age to help support his family, working at a grocery store where he made deliveries by bicycle.

Clinton proudly served his country in both the Army Reserves and the United States Air Force. After his service, he learned the trade of auto body mechanics and eventually settled in the Seacoast area.

A man of many talents, Clinton was both musically inclined and artistic. He enjoyed painting and drawing and had a deep love for music. He played guitar and was the lead singer of his band, “Accidents.” It was while performing at a gig that he met Linda. The two fell in love, and Clinton embraced Lindas three children as his own, together added two more, building a life centered on love and family.

Clinton’s Christian faith and his family was the cornerstone of his life. Being a generous man, he had a special place in his heart for the underdog and would give his last dollar to someone in need. He was a natural problem-solver who preferred to fix things himself and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He was predeceased by his parents; his son, James Lessard; and his brothers, Carl, Phillip, Paul, Raymond, and Ronald Lagerberg.

Clinton is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Linda Lagerberg of Lebanon; his children, Gary Lessard of Somersworth, New Hampshire, Jeff Lessard of Lebanon, Raymond Lagerberg and his wife Lisa of Lebanon, and Clinton Lagerberg II and his wife Christine of Tennessee. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jessah, Victoria, Joshua, Jacob, Zachary, Hannah, Rachel, Joel, Eryn, Cayden, Abigail, Ely, and Jack; 14 great-grandchildren (and counting), his brothers David and Bruce Lagerberg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
