Clairina M. (Lang) Pinett, 70, of Sanford, died on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Clairina was born in Claire, New Brunswick, Canada on June 6, 1939 to John and Leona McDonald Lang and attended local schools. When she was a young girl she would sing French songs on a local radio station. In 1960, Clairina married Clarence Pinett and together the couple raised five sons. They moved to the United States in 1972 first moving to Terryville, Connecticut and then finally settling in Sanford in 1982.Clairina was a very devoted and loving mother and mere. She spent her life caring for her family and always put their needs before her own. She enjoyed knitting, cooking for family, bowling, listening to country music and going dancing at the AMVETS with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved sister, Juliette (Lang) Levesque together they would enjoy many trips to Foxwoods. She was a very generous woman and would never hesitate to stop and help somebody in need. Clairina will be forever remembered as a devoted mother, a loving mere, and a beloved sister.She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Clarence Pinett and a brother, Clarence Lang.Surviving are family members: John and Victoria Pinett of Springvale, Tom Pinett of Sanford, Scott and Sandy Pinett of Sanford, Jeff Pinett of Sanford and Paul Lenny Pinett of Sanford;, a sister, Juliette (Lang) Levesque of Sanford and six grandchildren, John, Thomas, Sarah and Scotty Pinett of Sanford and Justin and Jonathan Royal of Springvale, and a close and loving, longtime family friend, Conrad Noel of Sanford.Visitation will be held at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Homes from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 23rd with funeral prayers at 11:30 AM.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Cancer Care Center of York County, 27 Industrial Avenue, Sanford, ME 04073.To leave a message of condolence for the family please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
