Claire Rochelle Brown

Claire Rochelle Brown, 75, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. Born in Claremont, New Hampshire, September 21, 1937, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Minnie John Latouche. Claire was predeceased by her infant son, Daniel, her parents, and her brothers, Richard and Jerry Latouche. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, James Brown of North Haven. She is also survived by her six children, Donna Jacques and her husband Michael, Jay Brown and his wife Cindy, Owen Brown, Gail Durgin, David Brown, Donald Brown and his wife Tammy; her grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Michelle, Hillary, Jordan, Morgan and her husband Gregg, Gregory, Lindsey, Stephanie, Mallory, Amanda, Ryan and Rachael; three great-grandchildren, Lily, Colin, and Emma; her siblings, Gladys Farnham and her husband Richard, Betty Dewey, Lorraine Snelling, Roger Latouche and his wife Dorothy, Ronnie Latouche and his wife Bella; brothers-in-law, Charles and Joseph Brown; a sister-in-law Mary Ella Gove and her husband Gene; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Claire had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and especially like sharing stories about her grandchildren. She was most welcoming and there was always room in her heart and home for one more. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at Fuller Cemetery, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pen Bay Medical Center, 22 White Street, Rockport, ME 04856.
