Claire S. Allaire

Claire S. Allaire, 88, of Limerick, passed away on May 11, 2015 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in Springvale on April 11, 1927 a daughter of the late Francois and Aurore (Carignan) Sevigny. She attended local schools.As a young girl she enjoyed and cherished summers at the family's camp on Loon Pond. She loved the outdoors and the four seasons especially winter. Claire was a life long communicant of Notre Dame Parish. In 1951 she married Robert Allaire and together they shared 55 years until his passing in 2006.She is survived by her five children, affectionately referred to as her handful, Roger Allaire and his wife, Denise of Shapleigh, Rachel Tibbetts of East Boothbay, Donald Allaire and his wife, Susan of Springvale, Priscilla Lenkowski and her husband, Joseph of Acton, Norman Allaire and his wife, Kim of Limerick. 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Bertha Lavertu and Aurore Beland both of Springvale.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 15th at 11am at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale. Burial will follow at the Notre Dame Cemetery.In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
