Christine Whelan

Christine (O'Donnell) Whelan, 57, of Sanford, passed away after a long illness on Saturday November 15, 2014 at the River Ridge Center in Kennebunk. She was born in Boston, MA, on June 1, 1957 a daughter of the late James and Christine (Doran) O'Donnell. She was raised in Charlestown and attended Boston schools.She moved to Maine in 2005.Christine is predeceased by her parents as well as one son, Thomas Whelan Jr.She is survived by her husband, Thomas M. Whelan of Sanford, son, Robert Whelan of Sanford, two brothers, James and Joseph O'Donnell, four sisters, Kathleen, Mary, Linda and Pauline, grandchildren, Brenna Whelan, Robert (RJ) Whelan, Kyleigh Whelan and Ariana Whelan.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 4PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, in Springvale.
