Chona R. Baltzer
Chona R. Baltzer, 49, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2019 in Boston. She was born the oldest of nine sisters and and three brothers on July 25, 1969, in Bukidnon, Philippines a daughter of Jamie and Narcisa Sabud.On March 31, 1995, she graduated from Cagayan De Oro College in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. She worked various jobs in the Philippines and moved to this country in May of 2003. On July 8, 2003 she married Mark D. Baltzer in Sanford. She became a naturalized citizen in October of 2007 and attained dual citizenship in New York in April of 2012.She worked at Hillcrest Gardens as a CNA during which time she attended many training seminars related to the medical field.She was a devout Catholic and never missed Sunday Mass. She also was a local leader for couples for Christ until her illness prevented her from doing it anymore. She was extremely faithful to God and had a special place at home where everyday she would go to have her quiet time to say her prayers and the rosary.Chona spent her entire lifetime helping others. She worked to put herself thru college and after the she put four of her sisters through college. She used her CNA training to be a homecare giver to her mother in law until her illness prevented her from carrying that on.Chona never forgot a persons birthday, anniversary or other special events that required a phone call or card. She will be missed by her many friends and family especially her husband of 16 years.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6th at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
