Charles "Chuck" Landry, 69, died Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, after a long illness.He was born Aug, 7, 1951, to Lucien and Arline (Gosselin) Landry in Springfield, MA. He attended schools In Chicopee, MA, graduating from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and attended Springfield Technical Community College. He moved to Sanford in 1984. He was employed as a maintenance technician in various industries and during his career worked at Monsanto, Package Machinery, Augat Inc., Bailey Corp., Wasco Products, Spencer Press, Morningstar and Greenwood Center. He owned and operated Chuck's Computers for several years.Chuck was a communicant of Holy Family Church of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish in Sanford where he served as a Eucharistic minister and co-chaired the Diamond Jubilee Committee. An active member of the Living God Charismatic Prayer Community, he was part of Life in the Spirit Seminars for 25 plus years, active with healing services and in the prayer ministry.He enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, and taught youth gun safety through the NRA.Chuck was always quick to reach out and help others. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and hardworking, generous nature. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed.He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Marth Gene Landry-Murphy.He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna (White) Landry; his daughter Heather Lawrence and her husband Tom of Sanford; his granddaughter Sarah Lawrence and grandson Joshua Lawrence, both of Sanford; his brother Roy Landry and his wife Marianne of Belchertown, MA; a nephew and great nephews.Due to current covid-19 restrictions there is a limit of 50 people permitted at the funeral so services will be by invitation only.
