Carol J. (Wasson Aniki) Harada, 66, of Springvale, passed away on July 8, 2022 after a long illness. She was born on October 27, 1955 to the late George and Margaret (Lanpher) Wasson from Bucksport, Maine. Carol graduated from King Phillip High School in Wrentham, MA and spent most of her adult life in Franklin, MA raising her four boys who she adored. She dedicated her career to the service of others in the medical profession working in the mental health field at Medfield State Hospital, Maryland Rest Home and Westborough State Hospital. She married the love of her life, Harry Harada, later in life and moved to Maine. Carol spent most of her free time volunteering, spending time with her dogs Thelma and Louis and most of all visiting family. She is survived by her husband Harry Harada of Springvale, ME, her children Brent Wasson and wife Christina of Webster, MA, Jason Aniki and wife Jessica of Farmington, NH and Shane Aniki of Billerica, MA as well as her niece who she considered the daughter she never had, Kelley Snyder, her husband Kevin and their children Eli and Erica of Farmington, NH. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Justin, Haylie, Emily, Jacob, John and Julia who brought her pride and joy every day. Carol is pre-deceased by her son Kevin Aniki. A celebration of life memorial service will take place in Springvale, Maine on Sunday July 17th for family and close friends. Burial will take place at a later date at the Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery in honor of Harry’s service in the military. Donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to the York County Shelter Food Pantry where Carol volunteered for many years, even up to her very last days.   3. Auntie Carol was a beautiful soul, a kind woman, loving mom and friend to so many. She had an endearing smile and brilliant blue eyes that would just brighten my day, warm words of praise to help me through a difficult time, a hug that felt like home, and a funny story that we would belly laugh over until we cried!
    I’m forever thankful she was such a big part of my life! I will carry our special bond in my heart forever!
