Carolyn E. Brissette
Carolyn E. Brissette passed away peacefully on September 9, 2016, surrounded by her daughter Elizabeth Konner, her son in law Paul Konner and her brother Ronnie Sirisky.Carolyn E. Brissette was born on April 24, 1936 to Ethel and Charles A. Sirisky of Charleston, SC. She was the sister of Ronald W. Sirisky and the late Charles "Buddy" Sirisky and is survived by an extensive number of nephews and nieces in Charleston. Carolyn was married to the late Joseph C. Brissette of Springvale, Maine. Carolyn had three children, the late Linda D. Rynkowski, Edward Jones, Jr., and Elizabeth Konner by former husband Edward Jones of Monroe, CT. Additionally, she is survived by daughters Mariella Luginbuhl, Marcia Cartier, Martina Johnson, Julie Brissette Griffin and son Jeffrey Brissette from her second husband Joseph. Her grandchildren include Eddie Rynkowski, Shannon Mumblo, Emily Thompson, Eddie Jones, Michael Jones, Alex Johnson, Marissa Shanbaum, Cassie, Darcy and Joey Cartier, Lisa Levy, Todd Luginbuhl, Mathew and Luke Brissette, and Mariah Griffin. She is also survived by her many great grandchildren and her Godchild children Leah and Lexi Farley. She also leaves behind her beloved companion, her furbaby Stella.Carolyn retired from Sears and Roebuck in Lewiston as a retail sales representative. She was active in her church in Sanford and loved ministering to children. She was an avid cook, animal lover, and enjoyed entertaining neighbors and family. Carolyn spread joy and love everywhere she went. She enjoyed sharing her southern roots and traditions and periodically returning to Charleston to regale her extensive southern family. She will be missed by all who came to know and love her, and will leave an unfillable loss to her beloved family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 16 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Avenue in Sanford. Burial will follow at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale. Following the burial, the family will host a luncheon at the St. Ignatius Parish Hall on Riverside Avenue in Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
