April 5, 1944 ~ January 30, 2022

Carol Ann Cate LaRoche, beloved mother, passed away January 30, 2022 at the age of 77. She was born on April 5, 1944 in Rochester, NH. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Pete Cormier; son, William "Billy" Allen LaRoche; and biological father, Harry Cate. She is survived by her youngest daughter, companion, and best friend, Kimberly Ann LaRose of Saco, Maine; oldest daughter and son-in-law, Cathy LaRose Dixon and Rick Dixon of Knoxville, Tennessee; and former husband and friend Paul LaRose. Carol spent her career in retail customer service, working until the pandemic shutdown forced her to retire. Carol loved the beach, watching movies and old TV shows, coloring, watching winter snow fall, cooking for people she loved, and reading fiction novels. Carol was a stylish and fashionable person who, with her daughter Kimberly, loved decorating their home for every holiday, especially Christmas. Summers spent with family and friends at her parents' Great East Lake camp were a wonderful source of memories and happy reminiscing. She loved shopping for and choosing the perfect gift, and made sure her loved ones felt special each and every birthday. Carol's passing leaves a void in our hearts that will not be quickly healed, but we are comforted knowing she is walking, healed and whole, on heaven's beaches with her Lord, and that we will be together again one day. We love and miss you, mom. And we will work every day to honor your example of patience, kindness, and selfless giving to those you loved. Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com

  2. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother. Carol and I were good friends in our teen years. She was a beautiful person. I was a bridesmaid at her and Paul’s wedding. I was shocked and sad to hear of her passing. May God comfort you all in the days ahead.
