C. Louise Roberts of The K-R Farm in Acton, Maine and Pine Ridge Estates in Beverly Hills, FL, died in Acton on June 26, 2008. Louise was born on February 7, 1928, to John William Moyer and Kathryn Worcester Moyer, in Lebanon, PA.Louise moved to Maine, in 2007, from Florida where she and her husband Blynn Elmont Roberts had lived since her retirement from Yale University School of Nursing, New Haven, CT. in 1989.Louise graduated from Lebanon High School, Lebanon, PA- class of 1946. She worked as a secretary for the Marine Corps (Navy Department) in Arlington, VA: the Lebanon County Office of the PA Department of Transportation; the Southern Connecticut Telephone Company, New Haven, CT. and Yale University School of Nursing located in New Haven, CT.Louise was married to Blynn Roberts on March 13, 1954 in Lebanon, PA. Louise and Blynn celebrated 53 years of marriage this year.Louise was predeceased by her parents, John and Kathryn Moyer and her sister, Susan Moore Lorah of Lebanon, PA.Louise had been a summer resident of Acton ME since 1970 and a member of the Acton Congregational Church. She was the secretary-treasurer of the Tri-Town Tennis Association of Acton, ME for over 14 years.She is survived by her husband, Blynn E. Roberts of Acton, ME, her son, Douglas Roberts and his wife Kristine of North Haven, CT, her daughter, Belinda Klein-Robbenhaar and her husband Andrew, of Acton, ME and her five grandchildren, Michael and Julie Klein-Robbenhaar and Hillary, Zachary and AJ Roberts.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Acton Congregational Church, PO Box 28, Acton, Maine 04001.A funeral service will take place on Monday, June 30th at 2pm at the Acton Congregational Church. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at the Condolences tab at left.
