Brian Swett

Brian P. Swett, 62, of Sanford, died on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the RiverRidge Center in Kennebunk.Brian was born in Boston on August 18, 1954 to Clarence and Anne Swett. He grew up in the Boston Area where he attended local schools. Brian worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life and had most recently been employed at Fisher Automotive in Rochester.Brian enjoyed hunting, watching wrestling and spending time with his family. He was a very generous man with a big heart and a great sense of humor. He always had time to fix a niece or nephew's car or help a friend or family member in need . He will be remembered as a loving and devoted brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed. Brian was predeceased by two siblings, Eleanor Morton and Linda Kala.Surviving are five siblings, Marilyn Cheney of Peabody, Massachusetts, Richard Kala and his wife Lorraine of Riverside, Rhode Island, Robert Kala and his wife Carol of Palm Bay, Florida, Janet Vachon of Sanford and David Swett and his wife Nila of Sanford; a special friend, Jolene Stiles of Lebanon; his brother-in-law Martin Vachon of Mariaville, Maine; many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Sammy.Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with a funeral service, following at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 29th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.
