Brian Bernier, 52, passed away on December 25th. Brian was born on September 15, 1970, in Biddeford to Edmond and Laurette (Fecteau) Bernier.
He grew up in Biddeford and moved to Alfred in 1992 where he lived for 25 years with Jennifer Chaplin and they raised two children together.
He was self-employed and worked as a carpenter for many years until he was injured and no longer able to physically do the work. Since a teenager, he loved riding atv's and dirt bikes. He taught his kids how to ride at a very young age. He especially enjoyed racing his Banshee at the sand drags at Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds. He enjoyed watching sports. His favorites were football and basketball. Over the years he had several German Shepherds, but his last dog is a Pitbull mix, his beloved Brownie.
Brian is predeceased by his father Edmond Bernier, mother Laurette Bernier and niece Nicole Constant.
Brian is survived by his children Brianna and Andrew Bernier of Alfred, half-brother Roger Bernier of Saco, half-sister Jeanne Roy of Saco, half-brother Robert Bernier of Florida, half-sister Linda Giroux of Saco, brother Steve Bernier of Old Orchard Beach, sister Nancy Picard of Alfred and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is planned for Sunday January 8th, from 2 to 4 PM at Dorothy E. Stevens Community Center located at 80 Thompson Road, Kennebunk Maine.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.

I just heard of Brian’s passing. May he be at peace and his family’s grief be eased. I remember him from his childhood and teens, as we were friends throughout. He has a caring, kind, inquisitive and adventurous soul, as I remember him.
I was saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. I am holding his family and friends in my heart.
