FALMOUTH-Bradford Lee Hodgkins, 67, of Falmouth died Wednesday February 6, 2013 at a Portland hospital. He was born in Hancock, a son of Arthur and Beryl McCallum Hodgkins. Bradford attended Sumner High School in Sullivan. Following high school, Bradford joined the Army and served in France during the Viet Nam Conflict. Following his military service, Bradford returned to Maine married the former Beverly Lee Wildes in South Portland on May 13, 1967. He began his career working with Snodgrass Construction Company. As he gained experience he accepted a position as crane operator for Hallmore Construction Company. In 1976 with a vast knowledge of construction and rigging, Bradford and his wife Beverly started HH Rigging Company. Their company successfully completed many projects throughout Maine and New England before he fully retired in 2002. As a younger man he enjoyed outdoor activities and was an avid hunter. Bradford was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Norman, Roger and Larry. Survivors include his wife Beverly of Falmouth; a son Troy Hodgkins and his wife Denise of Falmouth; a daughter, Holly Hodgkins of Florida; a sister, Marie Kief of Sullivan; three grandchildren, Devante, Diondre, Amaya; a great grandson, Wyatt. A graveside service with military rites will be held in the spring at Forest City Cemetery, South Portland. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of their choice. Arrangements are being handled by Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland.Online condolences may be expressed below.
