Resided in: Sanford, ME

Bonnie LaVonne Adams, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at her home in Sanford, Maine. She was born on February 22, 1950 in Oakville, West Virginia and moved to Maine in 1993 where she met the love of her life, Wayne. They were married on July 4, 2003 and enjoyed married life to the fullest: fishing, traveling, going to fairs (especially the Fryeburg Fair) and attending "Cruise Nights" in their antique car. Bonnie was a devoted, loving wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent her life devoted to her Lord, and her family and friends. She loved reading, jigsaw puzzles, cookouts, classic movies and she mostly loved spending time with her family doing just about anything. We loved her deeply and in return she loved us more deeply. She took great pride and care of her husband, siblings, children and grandchildren. She was a devoted member and deacon of Messiah Christian Church in Wells, Maine for over 20 years. Bonnie lived a life of faith, love and kindness to all through her commitment to Jesus Christ. We will miss hearing her call us "darling", her amazing example of following Jesus in even the toughest of times and her assurance that whether the Lord healed her or took her home, she could not lose!!! Bonnie loved the lord with all her heart. She said, "One of these days you will look around and I won't be here, but you can watch me and follow me. You can come too! When I die, I'm going up! Don't worry about it!" Bonnie was the warmest and most accepting woman any of us have ever met! Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, James Albert Young and Genevieve Esther Young Henderson and five siblings, James, Sharon, John, Gene and Charlotte. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Adams of Sanford, her stepfather, Thomas Hendrson of North Carolina, two daughters, Sandra DaCruz of Wales,U.K., and Amy Wallace of Biddeford, Maine, seven siblings, Jessie (Peaches), Stan, Chuck, Karen (Pickle), T.J., Marilyn (Mare), and Carolyn (Cully) as well as five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. We want to thank all of her amazing friends and family who cared for her and loved her so well! Bonnie you were the strongest, most generous, loving, caring person we have ever met, and we are sad. We will always cherish all the love and lifelong memories we have created together. We love you; we were so blessed to have you and will miss you forever and ever. God bless you, Bonnie, until we see each other again one day. There will be a small, private service on Saturday, February 13th at 10AM at Messiah Christian Church. It will be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/MessiahChristianChurchME If you miss the live service you can watch it later at this Facebook link or n the Messiah Christian Church's You Tube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqEkBn22inq_zXglZYRdOjQ In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Guestbook

  1. An angle we called you for many years.
You were always there to dry our tears.
I could fill the ocean with the tears I cry.
You left to soon, and I can’t say goodbye.

I think of you every hour of every day.
Your smile, your laugh, and things you’d say.
I can hear you call me by my name.
But no one else will ever say it the same.
You raised me strong and true.
And I will always remember you.
So go rest high on that mountain you always talked about to me.
And I promise one day my face there you will see.

I love and miss you Mom. You are forever My Angel.
