Beverly Aliferis
Beverly Ellen Thompson (Mallett) Aliferis, 75, of Springvale, Maine, formerly of Malden, Lynn and Danvers, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at the Newton Center in Sanford. Born in Malden, MA, on August 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Emily (Shibles) Thompson. She was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1953, she was voted most athletic during that period. She was later inducted into the Malden High School Hall of Fame in 2002.The loving wife of George Aliferis for whom she shared 35 years of marriage. Mrs. Aliferis cherished the moments on the dance floor with her husband. Together they enjoyed bowling on several leagues throughout the years and vacationing in Maine before making it their home when they retired. She was the loving mother of John A. Mallett of Deerfield Beach, FL, Pamela J. and Scott A. Mallett of Winthrop, MA, Kimberly A. (Mallett) Emmons and her husband, Bruce of Sanford, Maine, and the late Kevin Michael Mallett. She is the dear sister of Richard A. Saikeviez of Hudson, NH and Robert LaCasce of Tuscon, AZ. She is predeceased by her sisters, Cynthia A. Saikeviez, Sandra S. Saikeviez and Cheryl E. Sunday. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Danielle, Scott Jr., Kevin, Bruce Jr., Joshua, John and her great grandchildren Justin and Nolan. Mrs. Aliferis will be forever loved and missed by her family and her faithful companion Benji.A funeral service for Mrs. Aliferis will take place on Tuesday, March 2 at 1PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine.
