Baron Hicken
January 17, 1941 ~ February 3, 2024
My father, Baron B Hicken, 83, of Alfred, Maine, passed away peacefully on February 3 at 1:55pm after a long decline in overall health. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Baron Mark and Diana Hicken, his sister Nancy Campbell-Jones, nephew John Campbell, his sister Sylvia Miller, nieces Lorri Perkins and Sara Cucuzza, and his long-time companion Louise Freestone.
He was born in Maine in 1941, the son of Harold and Helen Hicken. He graduated from University of Maine in 1963 and is in the University of Maine Hall of Fame for Track & Field as a hurdler. He was a High School Physics Teacher and track coach and an avid cigar and maritime naval enthusiast.
A memorial visitation for Baron B. Hicken will be held on Saturday March 2 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm

Baron, you will always be missed by our family! My husband and I will never forget our countless dinners at Lassoni’s with Baron and my Aunt Louise or our trip to Alfred, Maine! Baron welcomed us into his home and even hung up the flag of my husband’s home country of Ecuador! Baron was excited to show us not only around his hometown but also all of what his favorite places in Maine had to offer! Thank you for all of the fun and laughs! Love always, Chelsea and Erick
