Barbara Elizabeth Guy

SCARBOROUGH - Barbara Elizabeth Guy, 83, of Scarborough, died Sunday November 24, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Portland on September 26, 1930 a daughter of Howard A. and Vera May Neal Crawford. Barbara attended South Portland School and South Portland High School. Barbara retired in the early 1990's from Fairchild's with over 20 years of service to the company. She was a member of the South Portland VFW Auxiliary where she served as past president. Barbara enjoyed many outdoor activities. She liked gardening and planting flowers, bird watching, and painting birdhouses. Barbara was a good cook who canned jellies, jams and relish each season. She also hunted and fished as a younger woman. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Philip Guy on Feb 26, 2006; a daughter, Virginia White on February 3, 1993; three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include a daughter Susan D. Wood and husband Henry of Raymond; a son, Scott James White of Scarborough; three grandchildren, Erin Faulker and husband Ray, Jason W. Prindall and wife Heather, Charissa Jane White and husband Todd Schmidgall; a great grandson, Mason Wayne Faulkner; two nieces, Pam and Mara Crawford; special friends Debra and her husband Donald Perreault. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland.Online condolences may be expressed below.
