Arthur E. Noble, 75, of Sanford, died on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.Arthur was born in Kennebunk on April 17, 1937 to Arthur and Agnes (Hutchins) Noble and attended local schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy right out of high school and served in the Korean War. After completing his enlistment he married Amanda Moulton. They spent the next 53 years together and raised two children.Arthur worked as an electrician for many years for his brother-in-law, Ernest Nutter before going into business with Richard Matthews, forming Noble and Matthews Electrical. He eventually left this business and began working as a self employed electrician. Arthur was a mechanically inclined person and enjoyed tinkering with small engines. He enjoyed quiet time and puttering around his home on the lake. He was a hard working man with a good sense of humor and many friends. Arthur was very generous and enjoyed helping others. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, husband and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Arthur was predeceased by his parents and by three siblings, Bernice Nutter, Virginia Phillips and Dwight Noble.Surviving are his wife, Amanda Noble of Sanford; two children, Pamela Johnson and her husband Brian of Largo, Florida and Greg Noble of Sanford; five grandchildren, Mellissa M. Holland of Sanford, Cody Roberge of Limerick, Zachary Noble of Limerick, Spencer Noble of Limerick and Garrett Noble of Limerick and three siblings, June Brown of Kennebunk, Dorothy Cole of Arundel and Betty Hamlyn of Wells.A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 18th at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located on Stanley Road in Springvale. Arrangements are under the direction of Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home in Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to Amanda Noble, P.O.
