Armida Smith

Armida Yvette "Midge" Smith, 85, formerly of Berwick, died March 9, 2010 at her daughter's residence in Cropsey, IL.She was born in Springvale on August 18, 1924, the daughter of Armand and Agnes (Dwyer) Ducharme. For many years, Midge worked as a registered nurse. Family members recalled that she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.Her husband, Charles Smith, Jr. died in 1995. She was also predeceased by her parents, a brother and a granddaughter.Survivors include a son Robert G. Smith of Berwick, a daughter Dale Mason and her husband Kearney of Hadley, NY, a daughter Paula A. Ward and her husband Edward of Cropsey, IL, a sister, Gloria Belliveau and her husband Tom of Phoenix, AZ, 4 grandchildren, Tanya Kemnetz and her husband Steven, Heather Kemnetz, Michael Kenney and his wife Jennifer, Zachary Smith, 4 great grandchildren, Morganne Kenney, Matthew Kemnetz, Mackenzie Kemnetz, Michael Kemnetz, several nieces, nephews and special caretakers, Amanda Fredette and Peggy Garrels.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 18 at 11:00 AM at the Notre Dame Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 10 Payne Street, Springvale. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.Arrangements are under the guidance of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
