CAPE ELIZABETH - Arlene H. (Asdourian) Davis, 89, of Ocean House Road, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. She was born in Yarmouth on August 29, 1923, a daughter of Nathan D. and Helen (Arvanigian) Asdourian. She graduated from Portland High School, class of 1941. She enlisted in the United States Navy (WAVES) in 1943 and served at the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C. Barracks. She was honorably discharged in 1946. She married Clarence W. Davis, Jr., on August 10, 1947 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Portland. She graduated from Northeast Business College in 1950 and worked in retail sales for E. G. Foden Co. and Rines Brothers. Arlene is predeceased by her husband of 54 years who died September 27, 2001. She is survived by a son, Robert D. Davis of Tacoma, Washington; a brother, Martin Asdourian, of South Portland; a granddaughter, Leanna Davis of Seattle; and several nieces and nephews. A visiting hours will be 4:00 - 6:00 today, at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, at the chapel. Burial will take place at Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.
