April Walsh, 56, of Sanford, died on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.April was born in Napa Valley, California on January 23, 1961 to Donald and Mabel (Rickett) Stanley. Her family moved frequently while she was young while her father was serving in the Merchant Marines. She settled in Sanford in 1991 where she raised two daughters.April was a loving mother and grandmother and treasured spending time with her grandchildren. She was an animal lover and adored her dog "Molly." She was a friendly and social woman who enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee and conversation with anyone that she met. April was predeceased by her parents, by three siblings, Floyd Stanley, Timothy Stanley and Richard Stanley, by a niece, Tasha Stanley and by a cousin, Casey Stanley.Surviving are two daughters, Tina Allen and Tammy Stanley, both of Sanford; eight grandchildren, Chavez Ingram, Louis Allen, Ibanez Ingram, Ben Allen, Jewel Allen, Alexia Ingram, Faith Allen and Annabelle Allen; seven siblings, Ronald Stanley, Sr., Marilyn Bowen, Lorraine Adams, Donald Stanley, Sr., Daniel Clewley, Jamie Stanley and John Stanley and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the New Beginnings Christian Church located at 181 Grammar Road in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider making a memorial contribution at www.fundthefuneral.com/april-walsh.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service-Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
