April R. EmersonSANFORD - April R. Emerson, 31, of Sanford, died on July 17, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.She was born on April 28, 1987 to Paul and Ruth (Gray) Emerson in Torrington, CT. Her family moved to Sanford when she was very young and she attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 2005.April was a strong woman. She struggled with illness for much of her life and faced it with courage. She did her best to stay positive and happy, and exceeded the expectations of what the medical field expected. She is predeceased by her father.Survivors include her mother, Ruth Emerson, of Sanford, a sister Melody Emerson, of Sanford, a brother Paul Emerson, of Sanford, a sister Rebecca Benvie and her husband Shawn, of Springvale, nephews, Patrick Emerson, Dakota Emerson, Collin Benvie, Alec Benvie, and nieces Ruthie Emerson and Fia Benvie.
