Annie Woodward

Annie E. Woodward, 90, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford.She was born on May 23, 1926 in Gorham, the eldest of 7 children to Clarence and Sadie (King) Tirrell. Through her life, she lived in the Buxton, Sanford and Waterboro areas. She married Bernard Woodward in 1945 and he passed away in 2007.Over the years she worked at the Limerick Yarn Mill, the Goodall Sanford Textile Mills, Jagger Brothers, and the Sanford Dress Shop. She liked to do embroidery, cross stitch, and she was a Red Sox fan, especially of "Big Papi". Annie was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Donna Bertrand. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Hallock and her husband Henry, of Riverhead, NY, Diane Bass and her husband Vincent, of Alfred, a son Everett Woodward and his wife Monica of Sanford, 9 grand children, and 10 great grandchildren.There will be a private service in the spring.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
