Annette Fuessel, 86, of Sanford passed away on Wednesday July 31,2019 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough allowing her to be happily reunited with her beloved and much missed husband, Buddy.Annette was born on September 21, 1932 to Arthur and Eva (Laurendeau) Berthiaume in Sanford where she grew up and attended local schools. Through mutual friends she met Arthur "Buddy" Fuessel, were married on April 7, 1956, spent 59 years of marriage, and raise two children in the Sanford area.Annette was employed at various retail businesses in Sanford and the Sanford School District. She had been a communicant of St. Ignatius and St. Therse of Lisieux Parishes in Sanford. She enjoyed spending countless hours with family and friends at the camp and on the beach. In her later years, she made numerous friends at the St. Ignatius apartments. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed, but always remembered by her family and close circle of friends.She is survived by daughter Karen Ruel and her husband Thomas of Wells, son Barry Fuessel and his wife Barbara of Shapleigh; two grandchildren, Jessika Dyer and her husband Sean of East Waterboro, and Shawn Ruel and his wife Heather of Standish; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary Dyer, Isabella Tuck, Winn and Heisey Ruel.She is predeceased by her parents, husband Buddy, sisters Yvette, Doris, Pauline, Lorraine and brother Donald (Bert).A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 5th at 11AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
